Our 2013 Garlic harvest

Our 2013 Garlic harvest

We love the food crops we’re able to grow here in Canada’s banana belt, not because of any locovore ideology but because we can harvest better produce than we can buy. The photo shows what we were able to grow this year from seed garlic purchased at a roadside stand on Highway 9 last autumn and planted just before winter.

Just wait for the 11 varieties of heirloom tomatoes and ten peppers, some severely hot!
