I really enjoy your comments and your humour. I am looking forward to buying each bottle, sipping and enjoying, pairing with the suggested foods, with friends over the upcoming winter months, reflecting on your notes and seeing if I can taste these subtle nuances. I am thinking that this is a great gift for when I spend a week or 2 with friends at their cottage and we can use this as an intellectual pusuit so that we keep out minds nimble and active. Combine this activity with scrabble and we could consider ourselves members of Mensa! Thank you.

You’re very welcome. I enjoy writing and broadcasting, but my main aim is to get folks to appreciate the beauty of sitting at a table with friends and family, making conversation, eating pleasant food and drinking good wine. That’s the foundation of civilization

  2. Glynn says:

Thanks for these – I really appreciate you taking the time to share these wines. Oh, and thanks too for the Stones recommendation! Happy New Year to you.

  3. JoAnn Theobakld says:

Eight friends and myself have had so much fun doing tastings with your under $12 suggestions. A couple of them have proved elusive but I think that was more to do with the ability (or rather lack thereof) of the LCBO employee who didn’t seem to know how to use their computer. So of the 12 only 2 are outstanding. The agreed favorite so far has been the Revolution Red. Thanks so much for doing this. We have tasted a number of varietals that for most of us were brand new and wie will be so much more adventurous in the future. Looking forward to more reasonably priced suggestions in the future.

  4. Rochelle says:

I’ve been diligently working my way through your list and it’s been pleasurable work. Thanks so much for putting it together.

Are there any other wines in that price range that you’d suggest?
